central park is good for it c.b. there's always roadies going zipping by. also there's a fair number of riders who use the cycleway that runs on the west side of manhattan at hudson.

You can ride right round Manhattan on the cycle way. Really good experience. Best thing though is to head over George Washington Bridge and up towards the state line. Lovely ride and you are out of the city as soon as you get over. E bridge.
