Screw on freewheel on a fixed hub thread?

I've just purchased a set of Halo track hubs for my first FG/SS build.

New to FG/SS setups I'm a bit lost on the rear hub and freewheel setup.

I was sold on the reviews of the Hub cost/performance and the 2 cog setup but am completely lost on the freewheel setup of the hub.

So how do I setup the hub for freewheel?

I would also like for it to have a fixed option to eventually learn to ride fixed.

Any and all assistance appreciated.

for freewheel you just stick a bmx/single speed freewheel on your hub. they screw on. heres decent one....

its just plain straight up bad manners for one to not share knowledge .

I am planning to build a single speed with Mavic ellipse, many places on the internet say the rear wheel is flip-flop but many confirm that they are fixed on both side, so I am looking for freewheel options for it.

I am sure there are people out there riding them with single speed, can you recommend a good freewheel that fits and not too expensive (17t or 18t preferred)?

Actually, with a chain whip, the freewheel goes on (remember the purpose of the freewheel) . It comes off with a freewheel removal tool, that will be specific to the teeth on the inner of the free wheel.

One thing to be aware of is that the teeth that allow you to remove the freewheel (in the middle) may not fit over the lock ring thread so it may not secure properly.

Screw the fucker on by hand, it'll tighten up soon enough by itself.

We do still agree it´s fine mounting a freewheel on a fixed only hub?
In this case a White Industries Eno on a Phil Wood track hub.
