• I have had to make one of the most difficult decisions of my life and I feel terrible, shes glaring at me from the corner, but its time for me to part with my beloved Giant Omnium as we just don't get along anymore. She says its the weight I've gained, I say her saddle's gone up, but we just don't work anymore is the simple truth.
    Anyway here's some pics-
The first one shows the white pearlescent with a red flip (bloody gorgeous), only the logo has now been removed.
The correct geometry is also listed and this is a large and as you can see is pretty steep, but is one of few frames that allow (just) 170mm cranks and as the BB drop is only 40mm, it means you can lay it down hard into turns.

I have shown all chips, no dents at all, apart from that it is a stunning frame and fork, it looks rad.
    Am asking £250

Next is the only weeks old crankset, BB in box with original instructions and spacers, arms are 170mm long.
Not a mark on it, this is perfect, and to be honest, I'm not too fussed if this doesn't sell as I'll use it on a future build, but at the mo, needs must.

I'm asking £125, as this is virtually brand new with BB and unmarked.
As you can see, I also have a Nukeproof seat post 27.2mm that 50mm has been cut off, very strong piece of kit cost about £40, would suit trick or polo bike, as would the FUNN saddle, tough as old boots.
    Post = £20
    Saddle £10
In that last pic you can also see the two extra headset spacers to be included with the frame.

Next up is again a very new set of FSA Omega Compact in 44cm width c-c with 75mm reach and 125mm drop, but its still too narrow for me (have ordered Bontrager VR_C in 46cm)!

Ready wrapped in Fizik Microtex Soft Touch tape so asking £25.
Please guys, help a man in need! ;P
Can meet in London at Clapham Junction, or Waterloo, or can post at cost.

Please excuse photo quality its an old camera and I'm a crap photographer.

  • such an awesome frame and price, if it was bigger I'd be on that!

  • I'm guessing its the large?

  • What size?
Are you willing to post to Europe?

  • Doh!
Yeah, the frame size might be important!
It is the Large or 55.5cm frame.
I can post to europe JaGo, but at extra cost.

  • Too big for me.
    Thanks for the quick reply

  • do you have a picture of the bike built up?

  • Hi mate

Are the forks on this drilled?

Also - does the chainring come with the cranks and if so what size is it?

  • ^ Yes, you can see the drilling on the first pic

  • do you have a picture of the bike built up?

I do, but it's gonna take me a while unearth them as its been in both CP and HHSB threads, but some while back.

    Hi mate

Also - does the chainring come with the cranks and if so what size is it?

The forks are indeed drilled, yes
And the chainset does come with the chainring included too, a super stiff 5mm thick chainring!

  • what clamp size are the bars?

  • Give me a minute and I'll do a mock up of the one I've been riding recently the most.

  • what clamp size are the bars?

The FSA Omega Compact bars have a 31.8mm clamp

  • Here's the mock up without the chainset (couldn't be bothered!) of my favourite setup, it looks mean, but could really do with more of an inline post and a longer stem and/or longer reach bars for total aggression.
    Damn this bike looks good!

The photos really aren't doing the paint job any justice, but you can see how well finished it is.
As you can also see, even with compact bars, this is an aggressive geometry frame, with 74deg head tube and 75deg seat tube.

  • Neat!

  • I actually don't find my omnium too aggressive - the geom is comfortable, but the steering is nippy.

Will think about bars. They look like a good shape

  • this may sound stupid but is the paint glossy or more like matte?

Well, its hard to find many frames with over 74deg head tube!
Have to admit, its gonna be one of the things I miss the most of this, the steering is quick, but in a way I found as responsive and kinda... reassuring.
I really do like this frame, but needs must.

Its more like a glossy milky white with the red flip just adding a bit more depth when it catches the light, not totally in your face, but damn nice.

  • how tall are you?

what size bike do you normally ride?

did these come in xl or just the large?

I'm worried the tt is too short as my last frame was 58 effective with a 140mm stem and wasn't too stretched out

  • They only did it in the three sizes and I've never been sure why.

I'm about 6'1" and would normally go for a 55.5cm - 57cm TT frame as I have long thighs and so need to have my saddle about 6cm back from BB, but didn't factor in the 75deg ST when buying the frame and so the saddle to bars distance I go for left me too pinched at the saddle, causing the twins to be a tad uncomfortable (its my first track frame, still learning).

If used with a setup it was probably designed for, an inline post (mine was 30mm setback!), a longer stem with less of an angle (mine was 110mm -10deg), and bars with more reach (mine were only 75mm!), this will be an awesome bike.

If it helps, I can measure the reach and stack of the frame for you?

Probably the best way to see if it will work.

  • Tbh, I'm still tempted to say bugger it and keep the frame to be built up with the proper setup, but I really do need something a tad more flexible, more... (god I hate this word) sensible.

  • Will think about bars. They look like a good shape

They are a great shape, very comfortable, and if they did them in a 46cm, I'd keep them!

  • Hi mate forgot to ask earlier - what year is the frame?
