Had the misfortune of having the chump with the megaphone follow me up Cheapside this morning. He may be a complete bell end but he did at least manage to clear the road of what are usually the most inexpert pedestrians in London. He also lost points for wearing one of the floppy fishing hat things in a Union Jack pattern which only Mancunians and fans of Ocean Colour Scene considered acceptable in the 90s.

He may be a complete bell end but he did at least manage to clear the road of what are usually the most inexpert pedestrians in London. He also lost points for wearing one of the floppy fishing hat things in a Union Jack pattern which only Mancunians and fans of Ocean Colour Scene considered acceptable in the 90s.

I spotted Gas Mask Man heading towards me (East) on the CS3, Cable Street yesterday morning. He had sad eyes.

We seem to be amassing a little gathering of anti heroes and costumed crazies. Super Hero Guy, Bike Banshee Lady, Gasmask Man, Megaphone Chump... perhaps a sub thread is in order.

I regularly see a bloke in a full face downhilling helmet commuting along New King's Road through Parsons Green in the evenings on a Dawes-Galaxy-a-like tourer. He always changes down to bottom gear when stopping at red lights so spins madly for 30 yards or so when setting off until finally changing up to a more sensible gear.

Spotted: bamboo bike at Westminster Bridge south side being ridden by a punky looking Asian woman with a Catlike Whisper helmet and with union jacks on her saddlebag (or was it a messenger bag).
