The longbike is now officially fully ridable. Had to take the guards off, and do some fiddling with the drop outs, but now it cruises.
First proper family outing, and I slow down to wait for Mrs Smallfurry. The 6yo gets impatient, lifts his legs back, and starts to kick the seatstay in protest. Next minute the bike jolts, and I know exactly whats happened. His right foot has disappeared into the rear wheel. His foot was pretty badly cut up, but there's no real damage.
Side panels ordered (as well as a utility deck, extra cushion, and handle strap).
