Given that foxes will gnaw/rip open chicken wire, or dig under it, I'm challenging this statement.

I've endeavoured to protect the chickens from the local foxes on my Grandmothers farm, and they are relentless orange bastards.

My sister has kept chickens for 4 years and hasn't lost one to a fox.
