also, just curious, no brake mounts (other than the hole for calliper), wtf is that boss for?
-

for putting the front cable in, down through then centre of the steerer tube, then curved back up through the boss and into the bottom of a side pull caliper, to facilitate barspinnzzz. Sorta like this, but when the cable curves back upwards it goes through the boss instead of using that bit of tape in the image
hope that makes sense

Julia's cargo bike has progressed a little, i have cut the headtube out and drawn out the new bike, but not more than that.. i have had other projects on.
In the mean time i have been hauling loads of shit on my cycletruck, LOVE IT.

a fair bit, that was 3m of 35mm mild steel tube, with a box weighing about 12kg on the front with a little welding gas cannister and it felt comfortable.
If you go heavier on the front, the rack can flex a bit, for example i carried 3 sand fileld traffic cones and the flex was so bad it affected the handling, didnt break it, but didnt feel good, that will be solved by supporting the rack with struts going to the top lugs that i havent got round to yet.

The handling is so light with nothing on it, (trail of 40mm!) that i actually think it handles better with a load..
