Checking in from Spain. Rosie and I still plan to tandem this, and still plan to breakfast at her parents afterwards. Our turnaround time is pretty tight as we arrive in the UK tomorrow late afternoon. If i can't sort accomodation in Bristol for us to ride up Friday then we're thinking we'll ride th route backwards on Saturday until we see familiar faces then turn around. If anyone has Monday off and fancies miles, current plan is to ride from breakfast@bendix to my parents in Poole, (80 miles, lumpy strt, last 30 downhill) eat and sleep there and then ride back to town on Monday, 130 miles finishing at Souths. Space for many to sleep so all welcome.

BBC Weather says Exmouth will be be partly cloudy with a little shower.

As long as there is no rain (or hail or snow) on saturday night then I'm happy. It can rain all it wants on sunday afternoon, I will be having awkward conversations with my grandparents and being bullied by their snooty burmese cat.

fucking hell, I have had a mare of a time sorting out gps for this, I'd better not get lost now.

It looks like I'll be doing this ride, and if so will be riding up to Exeter after.

No takers for the London via Dorset tandem express*?
*not actually express, that thing is heavy

^ Tom, I'm heading back along the coast to Weymouth after the ride, but likely to be quite early doors (I need to be there for about half 10). So may not suit your timings. Hope to see you on the road though!

I did a spot of shopping (!) for this the other day at Decathlon and can confirm that hipster flavour (apple) energy bars are pretty nice.
I’m getting really excited about this now, so far I have 4 front lights, 2 rear lights, a headtorch, 3 bells and half a playlist.
The weather tomorrow night looks alright too...

christmas or fairy lights?!

• #144
Is that a suggestion? If it is, it's a very good one...

• #148
It's not for Exmouth, though it's tempting... I'll see what I find at the shop. And if all else fails, I've always got my Mary Poppins costume.
