I just saw the new rules for posting threads in Rider Down. Sorry - I've been away for a year or more. I did check the source before posting - the poster seems to be generally pro-cycling, no other tweets of this nature either and it reads like a legit account to me, so it doesn't look like this is a hoax.
I have a friend in the area who is trying to substantiate the validity of this incident. If nothing can be found to back it up, please feel free to delete the thread. If it is valid, I'll edit the thread title accordingly.

I've been trying to find further evidence of this incident since your OP.
Unfortunately today is not a good day to be searching for London Cycling & the associated search words, so I've been rather running up against a brick wall.Incidentally as you're quoting the only available news source and make reference to the fact you cannot confirm its accuracy there's nothing in your post which is actually against the rules.

Please, please everyone, be safe. This feels like a war zone, with comrades falling at every junction.

@manxmidge has kindly confirmed that the accident happened on the junction of Prebend Gardens and Stamford Brook. The map location here: http://bit.ly/PIx1s3 Still nothing via the news services - but the olympics is dominating everything. There are also no shops there for anyone to drop into and ask for more information - it's a residential neighbourhood.
So no word yet on the condition of the cyclist or the driver - thoughts going out to both. Hope @manxmidge is ok too - that's got to be pretty distressing to see.
43 minutes ago, Twitter account @manxmidge stated:
"I've just seen a cyclist jumping a red light in Chiswick getting wiped out by a car at high speed. It's horrendous. Don't do it."
Can't see anything on any of the news feeds yet, but if it is accurate, this doesn't sound good for the rider involved.
Thoughts going out to all involved at the scene.
