"£190.00 - Economy Delivery"...
"POSTAL COST IS AS STATED, THERE WILL BE NO DISCOUNT ON POSTAL COST"
wtf -

I would assume they are trying to sell the bike for ~£20 with £190 of postage.
You pay eBay on the sale price, not on the P&P do you not?

i think they changed that because i sold something recently on ebay and they took 10% off my total sell price

taken from ebay customer support.
"If your item sells, you're charged a final value fee. The final value fee is based on the item's total cost to the buyer which includes item price, postage costs, and any other fees the seller may charge. If your item doesn't sell, you won't be charged this fee. Be aware that fees varies across categories."

I think the purpose is just to disguise the price.
To trick someone into buying what they think is a bargain for a not so bargain price.
Fees remain the fees.

^
When I posted the sellers GT advert I'm sure that the postage price wasn't listed as such. -

^ Hadn't realised you now pay 10% on the postage costs too, guess its because of twats like that who jump the postage charge where in the past you would sell an item for 99p then be effectively paying via fee 'free' postal charge.
Wondered why my ebay fee's were higher than estimated.

Ebay profits jump after they started charging 10% for most sales.

So now he's given everyone a legit way to cancel their orders.

^ I live with a prolific eBay seller, and it seems non-paying is already semi-legitimised as there's no recourse for sellers.

I reported that joker trying to get £190 for postage, and it seems the listing has since been removed anyway.
What a fucking knob.
