If your tendency is to 'race' every Tom, Dick & Hurbert on the public highway, then a helmet makes a lot of sense - he says having crashed out after hitting sleeping policeman at 40+ clics whilst street racing in nothing but Sidi's and beachshorts, although they could also ban sleeping policeman I suppose
