2012-08-11 - "Rutland Ramble" 210km audax

Hello everyone, I'll be doing this ride, but if anyone else wants to jump on board it'd be great to do it with some forumengers.

I'll be going at a steady sociable pace myself, so I'm not the man to do it with if you're planning to get a fast time!

So what's your set up looking like?
I'd like to have just used a saddlebag and handlebar bag but my bar bag is crap, think I'm going to have to use a rack and pannier bag sticking out to the side..

Not sure exactly yet. On other Audaxes I've just used my saddle bag, which is a fairly big Carradice rather than those tiny ones. It easily holds all the essentials (and I eat a lot). And well stuffed jersey pockets.
But I've also been toying with taking my carbon bike (Cinelli if you're looking out for me) with just loaded jersey pockets for this one as I want to ride that bike a bit more before the summer is properly over.

Good to meet you too. We took it very eas with plenty of food stops, so it ended up as a very long days cycling.

Yeah too right man, you tend to get nowhere fast, cycling on an empty stomach..

The were so many head winds during the second half! As if the hills weren't enough haha
