Jim Burrito's Cantina in Sternschanze does a great burrito. There's also some kind of fixie skidder shop nearby but I didn't get there because it started raining biblically.
St Pauli and Sternschanze are probably the best areas for hanging round and drinking beer and going out. I haven't spent long enough there to make any proper recommendations, but cycling round the Alster is great if the weather's nice.
