My steel BJ weighs that...ish . I'm going to upgrade to a lighter alu frame, with 1.1/8" threadless carbon forks. Was kinda hoping to get down to 6Kg without much expense.

CXP 33s laced to hollow axled, lowflange novatech hubs, with revolution spokes. (Have)
Campy pista crankset (with ceramic BB, and Ti axle) (Have)
Campag Chorus brake caliper (Have)
Alu bull horns (new part)
KCNC stem (new part)
KCNC seatpost (new part)
SLR Ti saddle (new part)Not exactly a bling weenie build.

Weigh self = C
Calculate bike weight DClaim that A - C = D
If Cable B = 5Kg, Bike weight D could well be sub 1Kg.

Yep, kitchen scales purchased for cooking duties and pressed into service for component weighing on an ad hoc basis, and the hanging scales (fish scales I think they are) I did buy for bike weighing.
Have you calibrated your hanging scale?
Mine over read by 6.7% at 8kg which I put down to the reverse WW tendencies of carp anglers......

I am still waiting for my frame, have a horrible feeling this will be ready before my new bike.
By the way, a customer came into work today with the exact frame you wanted paired with a steel fork and bar-end shifter.
It was awesome.
