I've been riding in London for years and made the switch to fixed maybe 18 months ago and have never looked back. I know a couple of people on here but shan't embarrass them but pretty sure I have met some others.
I currently have 3 (or 2.5) bikes to my name. My daily bike is a 80's Gitane. I suppose its a hack bike and doesn't look the best but its a bike I'm happy to leave locked up around town. I also ride a 1950's Gillott road bike but unfortunately had someone decide to pull out in front of me thus buggering my front wheel. Luckily the frame seems okay.
I also own another 1950's Gillott - a track frame. The seat tube on that is broken though and am in the process of trying to find someone to fix it or someone who wants to buy it in its current state.
Next on my list is another Gillott or a Bianchi track frame for me to do up and really invest time in making it look good. I like to do things on the cheap so perhaps it might take a while but some of the prices in the shops for parts are eyewatering - I'm much happier finding what I need at a cycle jumble.. Or trawling the classifieds here.
Other than that I'm 25, Londoner born and bred and enjoy being in the city with everything it has to offer. Nice to meet you all
