I went for a mid race poo and the wife commandeered the computer. Poor show.

Anyhoo, Lizzie did ace! I was gutted at her not getting gold, but then I thought about how fucking fantastic the race was, how Pooley buried herself for the team, how Dick Van Dyke attacked again and again for Vos just as Pooley did for Armistead, and realised that this was probably the most gripping one day road race of the season.

Women's cycling, FTW!

Pooleys work was outstanding, the women's team tactics were much better than the men's. I think pooley is my new favourite female cyclist...
