The pearl effect of my Feather's paint job is invisible except for one week of the year. This has been that week. It's back to flat grey from tomorrow.

OK I'm now thinking leaving it unpainted, just getting the OAK decal on the downtube and headtube and getting it clear coated. If I get bored of it I can always get it painted in the future. I don't think I can wait another 2 months for it to come back from a painters.

You'll be well impressed by the clearcoat and Armourtex's turnaround is 1-2 days if they're not that busy....

a bit OT but do you know how much oak cycles would charge to replace a road dropout to track?

was looking at their site the other day to see what they did having seen this project and I remember they have a rough guide to repair prices on the site .. may be worth a look as they've got some nice builds on there to in the blog
