So the flame has weaved its way across the country, exciting every man, woman and child to the marrow of their bones. Although I am slightly disappointed that no photographers were around to capture Prince Harry lighting a bifta off it yesterday.
Only one last act remains before the Olympic Flame is burning high above the stadium.
