• Dear all

As the title suggests- looking for a quick and easy rote leaving kings cross midday and heading to Kingston. Not scared of busy roads but would prefer quieter if still direct. My random tfl maps don't join up but look like route 4 is at both ends... Is that well sign posted and if so were does it go through...

    Thanks

    Gareth

  • When exactly? There are a few events this weekend you might have heard about.

  • Staying with a friend near the station in kingston...and yes planning a trip towards box hill on sat but route across is the big deal at the moment...

  • You can't do better than our link to the cyclestreets journey planner:
    http://routes.lcc.org.uk/

Bear in mind that any route is likely to be screwed by the Olympic Lanes, check out the separate thread on the Olympic Network

  • Normally I would go marylebone rd, behind Paddington, through bayswater and Notting hill, shepherds bush and over Hammersmith bridge, through Barnes to upper Richmond road, across Richmond park to ham gate then short hop to Kingston. I'll do it on s map if you like. Not sure how Olympics will affect this though.

  • Thanks Charlie- now downloaded. Sounds good Carson, not aware of S map...?

  • typo... meant do it on a map - sorry!

  • If you don't mind Carson that would be very helpful...ty

  • there may be quicker, nicer routes, but this is how i would do it -
    hope the route map works
