In a shocking turn of events, Robin Lake turned up and looted the place, buying not only the carlton, but also the track frame, for his missus!

HOBBS OF BARBICAN BLUE RIBAND F+F. 58cm
early 50s, story goes that Hobbs started shutting down and outsourcing their cheaper models, hence this frame has nervex lugs rather than the older wave lugs that can be seen on the nicer ones (please speak up if this is all balls, its just what I can gather from research).. nevertheless, its a lovely frame, undoubtably 531, but I didnt get a new sticker when I restored it from original (I think) paint.
58cm square, finished in midnight blue and purple flam, with gold lug lining and correct transfers. few chips to the tt and chainstays, but could be touched up very easily, and is overall in very good nick.
£160 F+F with period headset (TDC I think, little corroded, but works)
£190 with Bayliss Wiley BB and Williams cottered chainset pictured.
OR trade/part ex for 60cm road frame from same period, preferably something interesting...
