For Sale: Sugino Messenger crankset inc. Chainring.

Barely used Sugino Messenger 165 crankset including a 39t 130bcd FSA Chainring. I'm selling it because I got in to fgfs as soon as I finished this bike.

I cannot for the life of me remove the cranks so i'm going to chuck in the frame and the Shimano bb. This does however mean that I won't be able to post the item, I live near Manchester and therefore would require pick up only. Looking for £50.00

Sorry for the large images but I wanted you to see just how good the condition of these cranks is.

The frame is a refurbed 1989 Peugeot Frame (50cm I believe). This is what the frame looks like:

why can't you remove them? are the threads messed up or are you not doin' it right?

No the threads are fine. It's just stuck on too tight for me to budge.

You're not making that old mistake of forgetting to remove the chainring bolts before using the crank puller are you?

remove the crank bolts and place a smaller bolt [ a bolt that the head just fits into the square cutout of the cranks ] into where the crank bolt used to be
so the tip of the crank puller has somthing flat to press against
hope this makes sense

^not needed on square taper, only octalink...

If I persist I'll probably lose my temper and then they'll be worthless, so as it stands I'll be selling them as one!
