Saw what looked like the remains of a bike under a lorry. Overheard another cyclist asking police if the person was going to be ok, police said they were waiting to hear and for the air ambulance to take off.

Saw the accident scene too, very disturbing.
Just back home and had a chat with my neighbour who works for the ambulance dispatch, she said the lorry had to reverse to free the rider's leg, but she did not know more... Sounds like very serious injuries, sadly...
She mentioned another accident this morning where the rider had the leg amputated.
This is all so very sad...
Be vigilant on these sunny roads all... -

My colleague was asking if I could find out anything on this - she had walked past it yesterday.
*A WOMAN cyclist suffered 'life changing injuries' after being crushed under a lorry in Wandsworth Bridge Road, Fulham, on Tuesday evening.
The rider, in her 40s, came down at the junction with New Kings Road at about 5.30pm. Witnesses said firefighters battled for some time to free the victim, whose leg is believed to have been trapped. Police later confirmed she had leg surgery at St George's Hospital, Tooting, and described her injuries as 'life changing'.*
It's worth pointing out that all of the information in that article came from either Twitter or this thread.
Still doesn't change the fact that the rider is likely to have a lot to come to terms with.

Very sad all round :-(
This type of lorry is just too big for central London roads.
Passed it at 5.50pm tonight on my commute home.
Looked like a bike under a lorry turning left from Wandsworth Bridge Road onto New King's Road.
Didn't see anyone under the lorry but several ambulances, fire engines and the air ambulance in attendance and I overheard a policeman saying that the road (New King's Road) will be shut for at least an hour whilst they cut someone free.
