• true, there are no more projection/analogue minilabs that I know of... have often been tempted to buy an old one but with no place of my own it didn't seem very sensible!

    but false - I believe the standard digital print method is light-based, RA4 on traditional paper, but it is done from a scan and then projected with RGB like a reverse scan. last bit there total supposition! but the availability of Fuji Crystal Archive on rolls would suggest it's used in minilabs. I guess there is a slight variation to do with the colours between the stuff intended for digital minilab and the stuff intended for enlarger/darkroom, but I'm sure they're both useable the other way around.

    That's what we use in the lab I work in. We use the rolls in both the mini lab and the large format printer, the paper is essentially the same as the darkroom use paper just on the roll. The paper from the large format goes through the same processor as the hand prints from the darkroom.
