Kona's website flashvideo pisses all over any other bicycle-maker's website. It really does make you want to just get out there and ride. Excellent stuff.
The rider near the beginning who rides on a footledge on the side of a steep mountain, scared the Jeebus out of me!

Oh yes, their MAJOR ONE is their singlespeed cyclocross effort. Competing against the Specialized Tricross Single I believe.

The best one of the rest is defintely the Kona Worldbike, finally a perfect bike for the everyday man.

Lisa RD
Was looking at the women's, can't tell if I love or hate this one. It looks kinda of chunky but nice the same time. Weird.

That Grand Wagon would be perfect with a black Thomson stem. I wonder how much Kona are going to knock them out for, they're very nice looking bikes.

Is lovely, kinda like a Condor

Whilst we're on the subject of full sussers, I want one of these:
I have no particular need for it, and will probably only very rarely use it for what its actually intended for, but its fucking awesome, and I want it.

The back looks odd!

Actually, that Grand Wagon is making me slightly moist. I reckon it'll go for £689.99 anyone want to start a book?
-
• #38
grand wagon is £1800. but it does come with a cool chain.
-
• #39
It has a sloping top tube.. and is therefore ugly..
-
• #40
it also has an ugly bar/stem combo.
-
• #41
Also has inconsistent component colour. Black wheels and chainset but silver stem, bars and seatpost. Should be all black or all silver (ideally silver if retroesque)
-
• #42
I reckon it looks alright.
Replace the wheels with some open pros / cxp33s.
Remove rear brake and levers and fit a dirty harry or similar. Job done.
Its a nice frame Deda SAT tubing is pretty light.

CRC is selling Grand Wagons out on quite big discount and I might be giving it a thought on procuring one... But please give me some opinions on the bike. They wouldn't be on sale if they had sold them out, wouldn't they? Is there some bad karma on it?

Nice frame, shit build.
<<<< Never ridden one.

They didn't sell, as it was clear to the majority of fixie-skidders that Kona was jumping on the bandwagon and trying to milk the Fgss scene for as much as they could. The stem was ugly, but the bike was nice; but with all that, the price was just way too steep. People could buy a custom steel bike for nearly the price that the OTP Kona was selling for. Its on sale now because the Fgss buyers were a shrewd bunch, who spent their money more wisely than Kona gave them credit for.

fgss buyers are a shrewd bunch are they? I'd beg to differ.

It didn't sell because no one would pay £1800 for an OTP steel singlespeed bicycle.
This is all.

Tongue in cheek.

Looking at the spec's it's a nice bike and at the sale price it's not a bad deal. £200 on the cranks, £300 on the wheels and you're almost half way there.

The one I saw, looked really pretty. I still think that in pink, or bright green, orange or pastel purple, they'd make great bikes for ladies that pootle.
