Stolen bikes

Hey guys,
I got a custom build bike nicked from Cambridge Heath Fitness4less gym's front gate yesterday between 16:50 and 17:40. They cut through the metal grill and took my baby. It was a white frame and I had painted the wheel hubs and the drop outs white for some reason. while the forks and spokes were painted black. Nice black diacompe brakes and brand new mudguards to endure the daily commute from Tottenham. Let me know if you've seen something in the area.

they said they will contact me in 3 days. I got a call at 7 a.m. this morning from a guy who I was supposed to explain the difference between single speed and fixed gear and what shape my handlebars were. BTW the guys were on the CCTV of the gym.

was watching a film today with a couple of my friends in hammersmith so locked up my bike pretty safe up by the hammersmith town hall
on finishing my film saw two suspicious kids near my bike i didnt think much about it at first but on approaching my bike i saw they were trying to unscrew my thomson bolts connecting to my zoncolan saddle so i picked up a cone from the roads and bash one of them in the back my friends chase the other away

did i do wrong?

because one of the council people said they going to report me to the police so i just rode away

Yes, you did do wrong, cones are flimsy. You should of used something more solid and aimed for their napes.

Anyone had an electric blue track bike nicked recently? Looked brakeless, gold half link chain, massive rear cog. Just seen a guy looking pretty sketchy on Lauriston Rd sitting on it, he just didnt seem 'right'. Scruffy goatee, baseball cap, bit of a dirty pikey sport jacket. Apologies if this is actually you and your bike and everything's legit, but better safe than sorry

This morning my flatmates bike got nicked from right outside our door. They got inside our (not so) secure block and cut through the fence, it was locked to! As you can see from the photo, it's a green track frame, silver untaped drops, silver H+Son's, front dual pivot brake, tan Brooks Swift and a big silver bell. sorry for your loss, but I always notice biked locked to that grill and despair..

Has anyone lost a black Colnago Master fixed conversion with Campag Record Pista cranks and silver CXP 14s on silver Phil hubs? There's one that's been locked up - rather haphazardly given its value - near us.

Just trawled the scummy stalls of brick lane for my saddle and seatpost to no avail.

The only bike of note is a very distinctive black 'Vic Zander' with red lettering and very (i.e zipp)deep black rims. If it is anyones on here it is at the stall half way down brick lane near the railway.

Morning again, just wanted to say a massive thanks for those who contributed to the "what to do when you're bike's stolen thread".

On Friday afternoon we found my friend's Charge Plug for sale on Gumtree, called the old Bill but they weren't particularly interested, advised us to call 999 if it was definitely his bike (waiting half an hour after accusing someone of theft would have been great fun...). So ended up calling the number on the advert and arranging to meet at Forest Hill station on Saturday morning.

After what can only be described as a very English standoff (can't say too much more at the moment), we ended up walking away with the bike.

Anyway, many thanks and its definitely worth trawling the web/posting here/searching Brick Lane...!

No scraps fortunately. We were all a little hungover so it ended up a combination of mumbling, short angry bursts and all round awkwardness.

Was the guy you got it off the guy who stole it? If not, where did he get it?
