  • All NJS can't be slave in my eyes. When it's all NJS it can only be porn. HHSB needs some good styling of the owner. There are a few rules but the owner can succesfully brake them. HHSB is just the Idea of fixed gear (build your bike with you own taste and blablabla) but then done properly.

  • also important, it has to look good!!!!

  • I think HHSS is when you expend silly money in a track bike for riding aound town

That doens't make sense, my Look(er) is pretty HHSB and cost me less than 400 euro's.

  • also important, it has to look good!!!!

Debatable, I've seen bikes that are straight up rank but still definitely slave.

  • that it cost you just 400 does not mean that the parts are cheap, was cheap for you does all

  • so, nutsjesmoar and wildstrawberries, what is for you HHSB?

  • wtf is HHSS?

  • jajajajajajajajaja

    oh boy...

    you know what I mean

  • I'd say I agree with you for the most part, but they're not always expensive, and not always good looking.
To be fair, good looking means something different to all of us anyway.

  • Yes, and fully NJS can't be HHSB.

  • This is my point. Looks like shit but it's salve as fuck.

  • And yeah, full NJS is just a Keirin bike someone rides on the road.

  • So, salve? Will it suddenly cease to be salve when I get the NJS wheels on there?

I ask because I had to try to explain the concept of HHSB today and came up short. My buddy's Samson is most definitely salve as fuck, but we hit a wall when it came to mine. Fuzzy!

  • Who knows!
Howcome you're getting NJS tubs? Surely that's just super impractical if it's a street bike?

  • That doens't make sense, my Look(er) is pretty HHSB and cost me less than 400 euro's.

do you have a link to pic, please?

  • I know a lot of people here who run tubs with no problems on the street. They're all using Vittoria something-or-others which seem to be really robust.

I'm planning on running the bike at the track on occasion, too (although not properly competitively, just for fun) and tubs would be great there. At least I have a set of clinchers I can fall back on, too.

  • Fair enough, just seems impractical with punctures and having to glue tyres and whatnot.
Out of interest, is NJS stuff cheaper out in Japan? Or is there still a major hipster tax on everything?
Nice job on the bike as well by the way, looks so much better de-spokked.

  • Jadias, it is not salve as it stands IMO.

  • Really?!

    confuzzled

  • Fair enough, just seems impractical with punctures and having to glue tyres and whatnot.

Agree, but tub tape makes life a helluva lot easier. Some say its actually quicker to change a punctured tub with tape than it is a punctured clincher...

  • non sense... change yes, but fix the flat in the tub, what, no time?

  • I suppose I was saying it more from a time saving, whilst riding, perspective. But I see ya point.
