• two week ago i decided to order a lighter front quick release skewer. the lightest i could found was the tune u 20. but they are currently not available in black and only for the front wheel at the german distributor and i don't wanted an unknown time i changed my order to a tune dc 14 (16g). it arrived 2 days ago and looks really slim.

now there's only one big thing i'm thinking forth and back thousand of times every second day - the rear wheel. i meanwhile know which rims are the lightest, which hubs, how much spokes and nipples weigh and so on. i had a wheel in my head but a friend of mine, who is a professional wheel-builder since ages, advised me something different as i'm too heavy. additionally the waiting and communiction with mack hubs is flagging, so i'm not really motivated to change the rear (990g only the wheel). i will see how long i'm riding the tub in the front and if i decide to go back to normal clincher wheels my idea will be mack superlight low flange hubs with velocity aerohead (front 24h/rear 28h).

i love this project, i love the seta and i know that it's possible to go below 6kg, but i'm happy with 6.38kg too. it still looks great and is still ridable for a tall and heavy guy like me.

    stage 6: open.
