• ok, how can i save more weight without spending too much euros?

i always looked how much my current parts were weighing and what can i save, but never forget that it should be still ridable with my 93kg and also should be realistic in price dimensions. i know that there are still parts that could be lighter, but then i had to spend quite a lot of money which i won't. and i also don't wanted to change some parts as i still love and feeling comfortable with them (handlebar, brake lever, pedal system).

i bought new pedals (shimano xtr, 310g) and a new brake (planet x ultra light forged, 225g for the pair).

as i saw that the scale was lighter, but the steps were going slowly, i decided to look for a light carbon clincher front wheel. often the offers were for carbon clinchers with alu-brake rims and i hate the look of it. full carbon track clinchers new were too expensive, used ones too seldom. at the end a well priced full carbon tubular wheel popped up and so i bought a fast forward f5r tubular carbon wheel (870g with an inflated tire). as it has carbon brake rims i had to buy some carbon brake pads too (SwissStop Full FlashPro Yellow King).

    stage 3: done.

    current weight: 6.46kg - i was impressed
