Thought the
Highland games was all sporran flinging and haggis hurling? -

Try Foffabikes.com - not sure you'll be allowed to take them out of London, and I'm not even sure that Foffa do fixed, but worth a shot.

Is this grass track? You might be better off getting some cheap old road conversions, from frames designed for 27" so you have space for grippier tyres.

Gonna be tough to ride with fixed wheels... I'd consider getting fixed gear bikes maybe. Helpful, I know.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought this would be a good place to ask,
Does anyone know if any of the cycle rental places in the New Forest hire out Single Speed bikes ?

If they don't you could always just, not change gear...

for going to highlands, why not just buy the cheapest most aweful thing going (£130-150?) use it, then stick it on ebay afterwards, will cost less than rental, a whole lot less faff and honestly can't see anyone renting out grasstrack bikes beyond their eyesight, its a niche of a niche!

My thinking was that as I was going to the New Forest, it would be a good opportunity to hire one for the day and see how I get on with it

A few friends and I are going to compete in a Highlands Game competition on the w/end of 8-9 September. Does anyone know where we could rent a few fixed wheel bikes in London to take up with us for racing (entry model bikes would suffice)??
(I've already tried Herne Hill velodrome)
Cheers,
Billy.
