  • Hi - I just picked up this Six13 frame for what I think is a good price, was interesting because of lugged frame and horizontal dropouts, thought I might go ss on it. Anybody know any thing about these frames? Any help appreciated.

  • I highly doubt it's a Cannondale.

  • ha
lugs and cannondales are never seen together

maybe some photo's of the BB and frame number will help people work out what frame that really is

  • Alright, I don't think Cannondale made steel bicycle, ever.

edit; According to Cannondale, their first road frame was made in 1983, and it was alu.

  • forks maybe

  • I'm afraid that's not a Cannondale - they've never made a steel frame.

  • This is the first ever Cannondale billed as a Sport/Touring bike, the ST 500;

  • Six-13. Named after atomic numbers of Carbon (6) and Aluminium (13). Six-13 has aluminium rear end, aluminium "corners" and carbon top, down and seat tubes (although later models have aluminium seat tube)

  • With over 20 years of building aluminium bikes (Cannondale has never even made a steel frame) our experience has shown us that 6061 and Optimo alloys are superior to 7000 aluminium at the welded joint. Despite advances in heat treatment, 7000 series alloy still exhibit a large drop in mechanical properties at the welded tube junction, resulting in a frame that is either heavier or does not pass Cannondale's stringent ESAL testing.

    wow never knew that
some good 'O' level Chemistry right there ^

  • Poor guy.

  • Looking at the details that seems like a fairly nice steel road frame.

Altho its not a c'dale and you didn't pay six-13 prices it's not a bad purchase.

  • Yep. looks pretty tidy and nice detail with the little lugs around the brake bridge.

  • It look to be a decent mass produced road frame that's nothing special, probably with 531, or 501.

  • lol @ whoever put those stickers on that frame

  • you've been had.

  • Would love to have seen the look on the guys face after he dropped that off to you!

  • Brilliant. He may be a bastard, but he's made my day..

  • Similar to this?

  • I was skeptical too, it was sight unseen for 20 quid. No worries though, I've got friends looking for cheap rides.

  • I'm skeptical when you said good price, and then suddenly it cost you £20.

  • 20 notes for that is a bargain, whatever make it may be

  • 20 quid. Shit...sweet!

  • well at least OP didn't get ripped off
and £20 isn't that bad for any frame

    good work

  • same guy is selling Diamant TT frame for 25. Just not sure I can store them all.
