^^ they're nice soft-feeling chino type material with a bit of stretch, definitely nice and comfortable as overshorts. They first felt a bit tight on my
powerfulfat thighs but the stretch makes it no problem. I have a couple of pairs (of 34s) now. A grippy waistband a la the Rapha trousers/shorts wouldn't go amiss but they don't really need it.
