Endurance training should be done on the road. Save the turbo for specific, shorter, harder interval work.
You'll thank me, really.

A late reply post event.....
Did all training on the road....a lot of mindless miles around the park but paid off with the team coming in 11th of 150 and a bunch raised for charity.
Next step is finding people to ride with!

Can I piggy back off this thread as I am looking for a turbo trainer to help with my recovery from a fractured femur.
I'm training for a 24hr endurance race at the end of June and need to start doing some good training at a steady pace.
I've not used a turbo before so would rather try a second hand machine. Guess I'm looking for something cheap that will not put me off using it!!
Any help would be appreciated.
