Don't buy into the myth about steel being real. That's just marketing bollocks.

but being completely honest about the longevity of the frame material. Havent seen a cannondale track failing and they are what, 20 years old? If i still want to ride stupid alu track bike in 20 years im suprised. But this is based on my own frame needs atm, dunno what geo you are after.

I've never ridden a ti frame so unfortunately can't compare. All mine have been steel or cromo and some of them 20+yrs old and rode beautifully. That was one of the reasons I went for a Roberts. Another one was that it's made down the road from me and not exported abroad, there's something about that which I like. Saying that I did go and see pretorius bikes and they look amazing along with their customer service and frame measuring etc. they also export to Russia. Pretorius is very open to all build suggestions and can accommodate most crazy things I hit him with, I'd highly recommend seeing him if you were going custom ti. Roberts cracked me though and I'm not regretting it :)
Wasn't saying they're bad frames.. just that for the same money I'd probably go Roberts or Rourke
