Wanted: O/T - Somewhere to park a car in Islington this w/e

Hi

We are moored in Islington for the summer but need to bring our Tandem down by car - train won't carry tandems :-( and would like somewhere to park the car during the day on Sat and poss Sunday so my wife doesn't have to race off straight away...

Can anyone help - driveway or use of a visitors parking permit? Can possibly repay with a boat trip depending on Olympic restrictions...

Parking restrictions are generally only up until 1.30pm on Saturdays - so from then until 8.30 on Monday morning you can park anywhere (incl. single yellow lines) without charge. Think I have some hourly permits - when were you thinking of getting in?

...and if it's only for a bit of Saturday Sainsburys on Liverpool road has a car park (restrictions apply). Also there are pay metres around - I'm sure these are searchable online, but if not, the top of Theberton st. and outside the old hospital on liverpool rd.

Elwigleeno and hugo7 - thanks for the advice....My initial look online and at signs seemed to indicate parking restrictions apart from overnight and vast costs so really helpful...I think hopefully been helped out by Steves by PM but will shout if still stuck...
