Got nothing to do with mind games if you don't have the legs
Not having the legs and getting caught on every break must be crushing for the spirit though

Congrats to Europcar for the back to backs after a rest day
squints a bitDeja vu?

Didn't help Pierre Rolland much.

He was using Xipamine. Doping teams give it to unpopular riders to take the piss.

Sprint Wiggo, please!

Diuretic pun?

Well done Nico Roche

Nibbles is finished. I don't think he's got much attack left in him today.
Spoke too soon...
Or I called it just right.

Seems obvious now, but Evans never had the form all year did he?
-
• #3015
Surely over now for Cuddles, plenty of fight but fuck all in the legs

One win in the Criterium International and that's about it, isn't it?
A bum note for BMC after a great '11 and their marquee signings in Gilbert and Hushvod, who have won bugger all between them

Tejay attempting a bit of humility there. It doesn't come easily.

gif of this please:
3.34pm: A fan gets a mite too close to Thomas Voeckler for the Frenchman's liking and gets a well-earned slap for his troubles.

Standard behaviour from Tommy when he's in Possessed Elf mode. The fan should be honoured.

Even with the usual gargoyles impressions he made it look fairly easy.

If you put Nibali on Sky and Wiggins on Liquigas, who would win the tour? Or if you put Froome on Liquigas and had Nibali and Wiggins at Sky?
Whichever way you cut it, team strength is the difference between the top three this year.

enjoyed a good couple of coffees with our leader down at lmnh. only caught the last 30k so not much to see, which is just as well as Eurosports rig seemed to be sucking up too much electricity from the projector.
i won't be watching Eurosport but it was funny to see that for the screen they replaced the plate of pastries and cakes in front of richardson with a plate of fruit just before getting the cameras rolling.
will try and get back there tomorrow. lmnh is a good place to watch the tour

From twitter:
Matt Goss @mattgoss1986
Site of the day was a couple "making love" to put it nicely on the side of the road in plain view. #noshame #dontseethateveryday‽

don't know if anyone else has read this article from the telegraph today, in which Wiggins basically says he's the anointed one for this year, and then after that he's at the disposal of whomever Sky put up as team leader. Interesting lack of ego there, if he's to be believed..
Wiggins said: "What we do well is we race as a team. That's why we're in this position now. I am surrounded by incredibly talented bike riders - including Chris Froome.
"The guy is capable of winning the Tour for sure, otherwise he wouldn't be second overall, and he will win this race one day and I will be there to support him doing that.
"We've proved on the road that there isn't a problem."
"Whatever happens, I am part of this team and always want to be part of it to the end of my career,"
I have the sudden urge to hire a car....
