For Sale: Brompton 2 speed

Hi all,

I'm selling my all black Brompton S2L as I'm moving to West Africa in the Autumn and can't take it with me.

It's in near perfect condition, bought on a ride to work scheme in January 2011 and ridden very little.

Comes with Brookes B17 black saddle, again in perfect nick, not even worn in yet, and a telescopic extended seat post.

Looking for £500, and will throw in a Kryptonite D-lock and spare inners for a quick buyer!

If you bought it on the scheme in Jan '11, are you sure that it is yours to sell? ie have you paid back your employer in full?

Also, seems pricey esp as rrp is 800 and you will hav egot it tax and NI free 9and poss VAT off too...

It belongs to me, new owner can have it in writing from my HR department if they want....

The bike and equipment remain the property of the employer throughout the hire period, unless the employer uses a finance company to fund the bikes; in this case the finance company or funding bank will own the bikes.

just saying, i've heard of both seller and buyer getting into trouble.

Cycleschemes typically last for 1 year and after a year of paying monthly to 'hire' it, you can buy it for a nominal fee. As the OP says it's from a Jan 11 cyclescheme, it's probably his by now.

It may or may not be his by now depending on the final arrangement if he extended the loan period (and may not be paying anything for the loan of 3 years) like I am you still don't technically own the bike.
