If we still had a popcorn thread this one would be nine pages long by now and the OP would either be some form of meta hero or a devastated wreck of a teenager.

Sounds good, I think I'll have to try and get one! I won't be doing any insane or really long/fast skids (much) just the usually little skips and emergency skids.
Me thinks a blue Spok on the back and a blue b43 on the front, -

Me thinks a bottle of Heineken and a bag of crips..
And while you're out there spending money, go for a matching set of Dura Ace 7600 X Wolber Profil's.. Way better/hotter/whatever. And probably cheaper in the end. Why would you want a spok anyway?

The look, the noise and the fact I regret selling mine!

If it was a rear non machined I would definitely but that seems like a good deal for someone wanting a front machined one, my mate MAY be interested I'll let him know and see what he thinks.

I rode a rear non-machined one for about a year. It made a weird noise once when I skid-hopped. Also, the paint flaked off the braking surface after a while.
You'll be fine.

Oh, they're as heavy as two Mavic CXP22's.

Did you run a rear break?
Also can you describe the noise?
btw, if you get machined both front and rear i think then rear wears out much slower on the skidds? or so i've heard
