i think it's not about clearances, but about the HT angle. wtf, has this been crashed head on? twice?
-
• #8892
What happens if you hit a pot hole, the frame flexes, the front wheel strikes the downtube and stops - Superman?

Well spotted and quite amusing.
"I'll have a footlong Subway Club please. Oh and can I take a photo of my bike in here too? Thanks."

That's been crashed and bent, zoom in and look at the top tube head tube area...
-
• #8897
Yeah the headtube/rake is pretty crazy. And no, it's not a result of a serial crashing, It's just a odd frame.
It's a Szekeres, apparently a east german frame builder and by the size and look's of it it was made for a giant riding on really steep banked tracks..
If anyone have any ideas for the reason of the ht/rake i would really appreciate it. -
• #8898
i just took a long hard stare at the bike again.
i wouldn't ride it with that front clearance, way too close/dangerous, get some carbon forks with straight legs, it will eliminate the risk and you can play with rake a bit - i'm sure currently it drives like a unicycle -
• #8899
Well it rides surprisingly well actually. It responds really fast to any rider input for good and for worse and that took some time getting used to..
-
• #8900
"really fast"? no... i'm sure it's got quite a slack feel to it
so bad
