CatEye Micro Wireless. Takes a bit to set up the first time, but the menus really are intuitive and just become natural to use.

I purchased the VDO A8+ from Bon Velo.
I've never got it to work on either 3 of my bikes. very odd, have contacted the german website and asked for help, sent them pictures of my set-ups and they are sending me a replacement transmitter.
I did have a CatEye Commuter which was great until it bounced out while cycling along Bayswater and some old man picked it up and ran off with it :(

You've tried other batteries I take it.
I used a VDO A8+ for a few years before the transmitter went. The fact they come with a 5 year warranty and are really good about honouring it makes me like them.

the battery was new sealed in plastic, I don't have a spare one it's not the standard button cell it's like a half heigh AAA. They were great at responding
And yeah, I was pretty miffed by this pointless theft, took me a while to slow down and turn back by which time it was gone, couldn't quite believe it at first

The battery will say on it what it is (CR123 at a guess).
The old bastard probably had it sold for crack within and hour. WAC.

Vouch on the cat eye strada. The Bontrager trip 4 W wireless does a good job aswell.

Don't get bike hut ones, there horrid to set up!!!
Got a cat eye velo? Really liked it till I got bored of having a speedo, found myself trying to hold certain speeds and my commuting times were faster without it

Another vote for the Cateye Strada Wireless Double, super easy and decent, although I will blame my current obsession with efficient cadence on it.

unless anyone knows of anything miles ahead for the same price(ish)!
What ever you buy make sure it's easy to use.
I had a trek one that seemed to take half an hour to work out any time I wanted to do anything.
I now have a Strada Wireless Double and like it. Although it the display is a little small... but it's still clearly visible. So take of all that what you will I guess.
