SRAM Red front derailleur problem

I have a Force front mech on a 50/34 and it works fine.
The older Red front mechs had a titanium cage which was allegedly too flexible leading to poor shifting, although the newer ones changed to a steel cage to rectify that.

I think Force would do for me. I'm intrigued by Ultegra though as I've used it before and the FD alway worked very well.
I had an accident when dropping the chain once (I was out of the saddle at the time) so am a bit paranoid about front ring shifting.
