    If you're just changing the stem on the same bike then you're impacting more than one variable. On top of the tiller, you're also changing your posture and weight distribution. Being comfy could mean many things, but if you tried a shorter bike with a longer stem, your riding position would be the same.

    Maybe I'm supremely adaptable, ignorant, or not pushing the limits, but I've got used to lots of different styles of bike. I know different bikes excel at different things, but I don't think there's one way of setting things up that is objectively 'better' than another... Just look at all the different set-ups, riding positions and styles in polo right now.
