My GF and I just got back from the Pyrenees after touring from one end to the other. I wanted to start this thread to big up the European Bike Express.
Basically, it's a coach with a massive trailer for all the bikes. The seats are very good for a coach, recline a long way and have more than enough leg room (for a 5'9"er). I got a decent night's sleep, which is needed as it took 22 hours down and 25 back. However there is no hassle, you can chat with the other tourists (a bit retired CTC, but I enjoyed the conversations) and a bloke called Jason will bring you dinner and a bacon roll in the morning.
