shit the bed, I turned down an allez that looked exactly like that (was wearing late 70s shimano 600 stuff) as I thought they were pretty bogo, does being built by the 3rensho guys make it worth dollar?
I think the link between spesh and ford is probably quite accurate! They make perfectly decent proper bikes, and some of which are very nice, and generally competitively priced, yeah their biggest seller is probably the lower powered people carrier with no optional extra's on it, but they also make focus ST/RS 5pot turbos' in them
