what bottom bracket did you use in the end?

I left the fixed cup in and masked it when I sprayed it. Bought new bearings off ebay... cheap as chips! (Cheaper actually!) Then cleaned up the shaft and cups and rebuilt it.

I don't know if it will help you but I had issues with finding a new seatpost for a carbolite 103 frame. Turns out they are 23.4 and they sell them in Decathlon for their B'twin bikes, not black but it's probably a bit tidier than the original. There is one in Canada Water if you need it.

Cheers for that - I've seen them on Decathlon before. Like you said they're not black, but I might consider getting one and spraying it. Did you need to shim the 23.4, or do you reckon my extra layer of paint will be enough?
