• also saying a quick hello after lurking (and finding much insight and help!) in these forums since i got my bike set up this jan. london is 100% more amazing on bike - would be nice to hang with other ladies who are into this, as all my friends who care about bikes here are men (not that i'm complaining!) x

  • Hi KBK and welcome.

We've not had a ladies drinks in a while, but don't let that stop you from going to one of the other drinks around London. There are Souths, South-Easts , Norths, Easts and Wests* - Monday to Thursday (not in that order) and some of the ladies go to those.

You'll find information on those in the 'General' thread. Hopefully, I'll get to say 'hi' to you before too long.

There might not be that many London drinks. I'm currently cooking and too lazy to check the accuracy :-)

  • Who is up for another attempt at drinks then? The sooner, the better!

  • ^^ Some people even go for beers on Fridays too!

    ^ This!

  • What? Beers on a Friday? What madness is this? ; )

  • I know! srsly crazy.

  • Always up for beers.

  • ^ Nice bump. Having failed to attend the last one I'm going to stick my neck on the line and suggest drinks next week somewhere South East.

Selfishly, I have a much better chance of making it there then plus I can bring cakey goodness.

  • Cupcakes, victoria sponge, chocolate cake?

  • Whatever it takes to get drinks SE, within reason :)

  • How are people fixed for Thursday?

  • working, as ever. but if it's SE enough I could swing by after. I'm sure there are some nice pubs in Crystal Palace... hehe

  • How are people fixed for Thursday?

Thurs 26th? Works for me. I'm free all afternoon/evening :)

  • working, as ever. but if it's SE enough I could swing by after. I'm sure there are some nice pubs in Crystal Palace... hehe

There are definately some nice pubs in Le Palais! I'm not so keen on the hills to get there though!

MissM - care to make a suggestion? How about Camberwell/Peckham way - not to far SE for non-SE types to get home, eh?

  • Poots, that is a great idea! Yes. OK so how about this place?

The Crooked Well: 16 Grove Lane, Camberwell SE5 8SY‎
http://thecrookedwell.com/ Parking outside. Comfy sofas. Nice food.

    OR

    The Grand Union, 26 Camberwell Grove, SE5 8RE: http://www.grandunionbars.com/
2 for 1 cocktails...haven't been there before myself.

  • I'm good for either venue. Cake. Mmmmmm.

  • Ditto - have been to the GU before and it's ok...and besides, it's the company what counts I reckon!

    A List?

Ladies Drinks - Thurs 26th July, Camberwell

    1. Missmouse
    2. Cafewanda
    3. Poots
  • Thanks Poots - exciting!

Will you be living in Peckham-Under-Dulwich-Upon-East Camberwell-North Brockley-Triangle by then?

  • I'm good for either venue. Cake. Mmmmmm.

What cakes do you like or shall I surprise you?

  • Cupcakes, victoria sponge.

For those, I'd do an early morning run tomorrow in preparation :-).

  • southeasties sometimes go to the Victoria on bellenden rd / choumert rd, it's nice there.

  • ^ Some people are there right now. If only I'd known before I got in to my PJs...:(

God knows there's naff all on the box tonight (except blinking football, again).

  • Cupcakes, victoria sponge.

For those, I'd do an early morning run tomorrow in preparation :-).

What will you do if I make both? ;)

  • Also, compensating for a bit of cake almost a week in advance?

Seems a bit extreme...though I'm not exactly an expert on such things :)

  • ^^ That turned out to be just talk. Currently running around trying to get things done before I head up to Wellingborough to visit friends.

Seemed a good idea at the time :-).
