Anyone know how to get a 410 to stop navigation?
I cannot for the life of me find an option in a menu anywhere for this.
Go back to where is used to say "Start Navigation" and it should now say "Stop navigation". -

Wait - 410? How far are you running?

I cannot find any reference to Navigation apart from "do course", which I suspect must be what I pressed, at some point in the past.
There is no option for "stop course" that I can find.

Murtle reset?

When I was playing about with it earlier it said "course complete" when I rolled past the end point, then after a few hundred metres of messing about it stopped doing the course and went back to the normal screen. So if you've finished the course perhaps just ignore until it goes away?

That would mean cycling 85 miles to get the watch to shut up.

Have you seen the weather in london currently?

Seen it? I've been marinated in it.

Anyway, I'm sat at home, kitten on my lap whilst the curry delivery bloke is locked (unbeknownst to him) in a race with my Mrs- who will get here first?

The Crystal Maze music popped into my head when I read that, for some reason.

Curry won, and is now going cold.

Wondering where she is- tried calling but no answer, so she is probably on the bike.
She left work in Camberwell over an hour ago- which is roughly five miles away.

5mph is about right for me, although the prospect of curry has been known to speed me up.

Well, it's been nice chatting. Garmin talk can resume - we're done.

Yesterday I loaded a .tcx into my "courses" folder on the 705, same way I've always done it I believe, then when I went to follow the course the Garmin simply couldn't see the file.
Previously I've had the situation where the Garmin scrambled the name of the file, but this time it just didn't show.
Anyone have any ideas?
Also- I still cannot find a way to stop my 405 navigating me on a route that I don't want.
Does a Garmin expert fancy exorcising my device?

You have to put courses in the 'new files' folder on an 800.
Does the 705 have a new files folder? -
• #271
Not that I've ever used before- I've always put the courses straight into the courses folder.
I'll have a look later, but I don't recall seeing "new files", that said- that's no guarantee that there isn't one there!

My Garmin came last week - I've still not had a chance to mount it on any of my bikes or do anything other than charge it. Riding is not going well at the moment.
-
• #273
Does anyone know where I can get one of these mounts for a 705?

I fucking hate my Garmin 410- absolutely cannot stop it trying to navigate a course.
Does anyone have any ideas before I hit it with a hammer?
