  • I do want to see a pure quad elim tournament at some point.

  • Are there UK people who are thinking about going to Paris by car? If so, there is a new french rule that it's mandatory for every driver to have a alcoholtest (or how do you call those breathtests) in their car. The fine for not having one is 11euro, but this will start on november first this year..you can take the risk but it is possible that the cops are dickheads and do something else...

  • Every driver? Or those they pull over?

  • in the car there have to be 2 tests..

  • Hi, just a little reminder from the Euros organisers, can you pay your registration fees, so far only 1 UK team has paid.

    http://www.ehbpc.org/2012/registration/

  • (Especially wild card teams: Greg needs to know if you're definitely coming to work out the format and is using registration/payment as the confirmation.)

The deadline is sometime on Wednesday, teams may be turned away if they haven't paid by then.

  • Jono, I think you've misunderstood that:

"For the teams playing the wildcard, the registration is only of 30€ per team, you will do it directly on the court."

He's referring to whether all main event teams turn up, because if they don't there are more spaces for wildcard teams (so they need to know before Thursday morning)

  • Ah, gotcha, just qualified teams then: buy buy buy!

    • EHBPC PARIS 2012 NOTIFICATION

I will be in charge of MALLETS & BIKES CHECK, on the following points.

    Mallet :

    • The end of the mallet handle must be capped / plugged.
    • Mallets must not have any sharp, jagged or otherwise dangerous edges or protrusions.
    • The inner diameter of any hole on the mallet head may not exceed 57mm.
    • The mallet head is a maximum of 180mm in length.

    Bike :

    • Any common type of bike is allowed. (BMX, road, track, mountain). Trikes, recumbents and tandems are not allowed.
    • You may not add anything to the bike to help block shots (e.g., a bar under your BB, netting in the front triangle) with the exception of wheel covers.
    • Handlebars must be capped. Bullhorn handlebars are **not **allowed.
    • The chain is on the outermost chainring or there is a bashguard
    • On the front and rear hub, axle length must not protrude from the axle bolt, in this case you'll have to cut your axle.

If everyone can have a look to his own mallets and bike during this week, to be ready to play directly after the checking on Friday.

Thanks and see you guys very soon !!

    Will

  • Anyone camping in Paris for this? I'll be in town for the tour, looking for a decent site...

  • I think there are cheap hostels on the link I sent you. Not sure there's anywhere close to the courts you can camp...

  • Hey guys, we set up the wildcard court yesterday for some test games, it's not perfect but it works!
We have great cones, better than normal cones, with a circular base. Also we stenciled the boards, and have a system so that the wooden planks stay together, it doesn't show clearly in the pics but it works well.

    Side 1:

    Side 2:

So obviously no hard checking into the board will be allowed...

  • From Facebook:

Here is the point on the registrations at the moment, we're missing registration for :

UK / Ireland : Nice Touch, COsmic, Calaveras.

East of Europe : Bisons, MMA.

Spain : Dirty Sanchez, Vai Polo Rejo, Los Manguis, Ratapolofia.

Switzerland : L'Equipe, Les Vieux Fritz, JPG.

    Italy : Seagulls, Bam!

The dealine for registration in wedneday the 18th, if we don't receive your registration before the deadline your slot will be allocated to the wildcard tournament.

    Registration is here. http://www.ehbpc.org/2012/registration/

We are missing A LOT of confirmation for the teams playing the wildcard. Dead line is today, if you want to have a proper format, but at the moment we only have half of the teams who confirmed they'll show up.

We're waiting from news from :
