  • back to no service

  • Making calls and using data

01:00 - We can confirm that the problem with our mobile service is due to a fault with one of our network systems, which has meant some mobile phone numbers are not registering correctly on our network. As a result, some customers are having difficulty making or receiving calls, sending texts or using data. We, and our central supplier, have deployed all possible resources and are working through the night to restore service as soon as possible. We apologise again to customers affected and will provide further updates as soon as we can

  • tried calling my phone from a landline "sorry there is a fault" message still playing

  • I just bought a new phone, so thought it just had really awful reception on it and was pissed.

  • Shit, just woke up and still nothing.

  • still nothing here. stupid fucking cunts. im gonna go fucking mental when i get through to customer services.
they are gonna have to offer me some pretty good deals if they want me to stay with them

  • I withdraw my earlier smugness, fuck you o2

  • Im going to go on twitter and compose a very angry sounding tweet to o2.

lets get #saucycunts and #bogwankers trending in an @o2 tweet

  • i haz signal on my phone again

  • Try switching off 3G. This has sorted my iPhone out.

  • mine also works again!

  • mine was working before it was cool

  • Are you sure guys that it's working?
Mine is showing that there's a signal but i still can't make any calls.

  • mine is receiving calls, have not tried dialling out

  • just checked, i'm receiving calls but can't make any myself

  • the rest of the world is safe!

  • Mine's still not working. Was okay last night, went off about 06:45 this morning after I tested calling hubby - who wasn't working this morning.

Both did the turn off turn on thing - hubby's now works, mine is still borked.

Work phone on O2 as well, but is ok.

  • Mine was fine all of yesterday and last night, but has now mysteriously lost signal in the last 20 mins...

  • Mine never works anyway (work phone) I hate using it as most calls drop and it takes at least 3 goes to dial out. When you are connected it constantly breaks up, like talking to Norman Collier.
    O2 suck ass.

  • Who cares. Use a desk phone, home phone, Skype, email, public phone, another network.

It's the perfect excuse not to return calls, listen to bullshit messages, etc.

    Embrace it.

And then ask for a refund next month.

  • turn off 3G, reboot apparently. or ^ this

    word.

Buncha whining fucking babies in this thread. 24 fucking hours without internet, oh god, the world's going to stop turning. HTFU

  • if it's an iphone, go settings ---> general ---> reset, then reset network settings. You'll need to re-enter any wifi network passwords but that might help get regular service back.

Tends to happen after a network failure, and also I've always had to do it after roaming.
