Utterly fed up of auto shifting (600 friction gears on a steel frame with cable running through metal clip on BB), tried many things and none seem to relieve it when out of the saddle.
Tried a few home-brew cable guides used as stops, but nada, makes no difference it just pulls the cable housing instead!
So I figured the only 'proper' way to sort it is use another band on shifter, sans shifters, then add a pair of new dura-ace adjusters onto the band?
Going to run the outer just an inch or so up the down tube as obviously the tube isn't going to chance in dimension!
Amaright, or is there a simpler way?
