should be sprinting then not track standing... hovis doing it wrong
The last time I did that through a red I got chased by the Po Po and ended up spending 4 hours in the slammer!
Apparently a nondescript sort tried to run from the Po Po after RLJing, leading them on a merry chase from east of the Rye and ending right outside our house this a.m. The dude had tried to hide behind a van. When they caught him and told him running from the cops is an arrestable offense he started crying and asked them to give him a fine as he was a school teacher late for work. !!

Lady with a white Fuji Feather (?) getting off the train at Harringey this evening. Even if you got on at Moorgate I'm sure you could've ridden it home!

Ah, that explains it.
I was buzzing along, minding my own business, enjoying the fine British summer we are having, when there was a blood curdling visceral scream. Couldn't quite tell if it was a greeting, or an exclamation of exestential angst of someone railing against the insane futility of it all. By the time I located the source all I could see was a shadowy figure stealthily sliding into the traffic and away.
Hi ya!

"oi oi Matt" probably counts as "exclamation of exestential angst of someone railing against the insane futility of it all"

My brain does not engage quick enough to do shouts before they are rendered obsolete... -

SuperJoe on the train from Hampton Court (ish) to Clapham junction (ish) on Friday around 5.30pm.
Had just spent a veeeeery long and veeeeeery wet day at Hampton Court Flower Show (Glastonbury levels of mud & unprecedented levels of middle-aged-ness) with the mother and was in a slight social coma when you tried to communicate with me.
My sister told me someone had said my name but I couldn't see you properly when you sat down and didn't want to do a weird stand-y/stare-y train creep thing.
Sorry :( -

My brain does not engage quick enough to do shouts before they are rendered obsolete...I wondered if I'd caught you out of the corner of my eye. Hello love!
You are good at spotting!

So it's not just the ladies who run away from you?

I chased you down Embankment after I spooked you by riding too closely while trying to get up the courage to ask you where you got your bar tape from. You told me the name of the shop but of course I forgot it by the time I got home.
Thanks, I got from Battersea to Denmark Hill in 20 minutes instead of the normal 35 by trying to catch you.
that was me, sorry about the abrupt response. went all shy because you caught me unawares, in my own little planet after my first day back after work from my holiday. :)
but the grip tap is cinelli-mike giant from tokyo fixed, good to meet you

That'd be me. Hello.

Eggpie yelling "Nice teaching!" earlier at myself and seven very confused children waiting at a junction in Hackney!
They told me you ride funny... awkward.

ooh before I forget, messenger with a gorgeous blue Colnago asking me where I was going on the Wharf yesterday. I muttered 'For a ride.' before speeding off. It was more out of sheer panic that you wanted to race again! Why you use that bike for work?! :(

Didn't think I'd be posting in this thread but on visiting the UK last weekend, after meeting up with Pistoffski to get some pieces I see the famous 'Les' in all his pink glory, spinergy'd front and hip(ster) looking fella (not a criticism) sittting at the lights of Old St roundabout. Cant remember the forumunger who has it now, cant be arsed to look. Didn't say 'haaaiy', just stood, admired and smiled at the irony of seeing two lfgss'ers within 10 mins!
If it wasn't Les then it was his twin!

They've clearly been taught well and have developed an eye for these things. :)

Of course. They love to be hyper critical of other road users once they're confident. Bit of the forum spirit rubbing off?
-

Then again, you probably don't need to be hyper-critical to notice that eggpie rides 'funny'. :)
